Collecchio (PR), Sept. 24, 2024 – Agugiaro & Figna has published its third Sustainability Report, in which the company’s strong commitment to promoting sustainable and responsible practices in the social, environmental and production spheres stands out. Prominent among the central themes are human capital and training, which are considered key elements for the company’s growth.

A key milestone for the company was its transformation into a benefit corporation, confirming its commitment to generating a positive impact both economically and socially. In 2023, Agugiaro & Figna embarked on the path to B-Corp certification, integrating environmental, social and governance goals into all its activities.

Another central aspect of the report is the “The Molino Forest” project, with the planting of 18,000 trees to offset the CO2 emissions produced by the plants.
The Group has also expanded its investment in the training of its employees and associates, recognizing skills development and occupational well-being as key drivers for innovation and productivity.

On the environmental front, the company uses 100 percent energy from renewable sources and continues to invest in technologies to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.

Finally, the report also highlights the importance of the sustainable supply chain, with certifications that ensure product traceability and reduced environmental impact. Among the top certifications is OIRZ (Origine Italia Residuo Zero), which ensures the absence of pesticide residues in wheat products.

With this report, Agugiaro & Figna reaffirms its commitment to a more equitable, sustainable and innovative future, in which work ethics, social responsibility and care for the environment represent indispensable values.

A call for 6 urban artists to reflect on the relationship with Nature

Nature Meeting Graffiti Artist is a Call for 6 Urban Art artists who are invited to give their contribution for a reflection on nature, understood not only as beauty but also as a mother of which man is only part and not the central point.

The Meeting is conceived and coordinated by the McLuc Culture aps association of Parma ( https://www.mclucculture.org/) and is hosted by Molino Agugiaro & Figna, promoter and supporter of the initiative, at the Valera facility on Via Martiri della Liberazione (between Parma and Vicofertile). In an area that already represents an important historical memory for the art of Parma millers.

The artists will be selected by an internal jury whose names will be announced after June 25. The jury will take into account: Relevance to the proposed theme, Artistic quality, Creativity of the work, Interaction with the surroundings, Feasibility in relation to resources and Originality. Works must be unpublished not have already been used in other areas.

The project is not intended to be a competition, but an opportunity for the organizers and artists to use urban creativity as a means of concretely raising community awareness of the contents of the proposed theme.The works, created on the walls of some of the plant’s buildings, will in fact be clearly visible from the street.

McLuc Culture APS is a nonprofit cultural association based in Parma. Created in 2005, it is dedicated to promoting urban art as a form of social development. Among its aims is to use urban art as a tool to overcome cultural boundaries, prejudices and social conflicts. Creativity is a form of art therapy to foster personal growth, connection with the environment and relationships among people. Despite its modest size, the association manages to organize regular world-class events thanks to a network of passionate volunteers who revolve around it. McLuc Culture APS is part of an international network of urban artists around the world and organizes several initiatives, including the European urban art convention Urban Signs and in 2024 the Meeting of Styles Italy

But not only that, we are well aware of the potential impact, positive or negative, that we can have on the surrounding environment, which is why in 2021 we inaugurated The Molino Forest: a wooded area including 18 thousand trees planted to absorb 100% of the C02 emitted by our four plants.

We have chosen to recount all this, and much more, through the Sustainability Report in order to share with our stakeholders the pillars on which we base our corporate choices oriented towards building a new model of sustainable and inclusive development. This Report represents an important step, testifying to our commitment to offer a certain, clear and transparent view of all data and information on our commitment to economic, social and environmental sustainability as a fundamental component of our business.
