Agugiaro & Figna presents 3rd Sustainability Report and transformation into a benefit company
Collecchio (PR), Sept. 24, 2024 – Agugiaro & Figna has published its third Sustainability Report, in which the company’s strong commitment to promoting sustainable and responsible practices in the social, environmental and production spheres stands out. Prominent among the central themes are human capital and training, which are considered key elements for the company’s growth.
A key milestone for the company was its transformation into a benefit corporation, confirming its commitment to generating a positive impact both economically and socially. In 2023, Agugiaro & Figna embarked on the path to B-Corp certification, integrating environmental, social and governance goals into all its activities.
Another central aspect of the report is the “The Molino Forest” project, with the planting of 18,000 trees to offset the CO2 emissions produced by the plants.
The Group has also expanded its investment in the training of its employees and associates, recognizing skills development and occupational well-being as key drivers for innovation and productivity.
On the environmental front, the company uses 100 percent energy from renewable sources and continues to invest in technologies to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.
Finally, the report also highlights the importance of the sustainable supply chain, with certifications that ensure product traceability and reduced environmental impact. Among the top certifications is OIRZ (Origine Italia Residuo Zero), which ensures the absence of pesticide residues in wheat products.
